Look, I’m all for alternative technology, and I’m psyched as anyone about electric cars. However, the idea of police driving around in something that mall cops would be embarrassed to be seen in might not be the best idea. I’m just saying. You may have heard there’s this new Star Trek film coming out starring the sociopath from Heroes, Kumar (but no Harold), Bruce Banner, a fat boy on the run, Thomas Veil, a celebrity shoplifter, that chick from The Terminal, and, um, who’s that guy playing Kirk? You’ll see post or two on the subject over the next couple weeks as we gear-up for the franchise’s relaunch at the hands of the guy who created Felicity. Heh.
I was actually looking for the Futurama clip of Shatner belting out “Slim Shady,” instead here’s the kick-off Trekfest 3002. And yes, those of you who hate Star Trek must watch it too!
Okay, we never got around to an Earth Day post yesterday so enjoy this short little clip of The Powerpuff Girls featuring Bubbles talking to a squirrel (Awwwwwwwwwwwww!). Okay, so it might not quite, exactly, be an Earth Day post, but it is about nature, and junk, um, right? Oh who cares! It’s so cute it will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside (at least ’til your boss comes in and yells at you for watching a Powerpuff Girls clip).
I was reminded of this fantastic slam poetry performance by a helpful Buddha commenter yesterday, and the idea that some of you might not have seen this glorious bit of work just makes me a little sad inside. So by all means treat yourself to Big Poppa E (whom Def Poetry fans might recognize) and the ode to a Canadian Fed Ex lady which got him fired from Apple Computers.
