For those of you who didn’t spend Friday nights playing Star Wars role-playing games with your friends, allow me to provide a little back story: The Death Star run from Star Wars is nearly a perfect lift of the final sequence of the 1954 war classic ‘The Dam Busters‘. It’s a direct nod and homage, and those of us who used to obsess over what kind of crystal affects a lightsaber’s blade color have known it for ages, (and add it to our SW related libraries alongside The Hidden Fortress and Seven Samurai).

What I’d never seen, however, is a syncing-up of the audio from Star Wars with the climatic dam run. Sheer bloody awesome.
