David Swerdlick examines the societal effects of Barack Obama through the lens of a likewise ‘other’ racial perspective in Pleased to Meet Me: A Pre-Post Racial Tribute to Barack Obama over on PopMatters.

It’s an interesting read, and certainly a perspective that needs to gain a lot more traction in the mainstream, as whittling the race (no pun intended) to ‘old white guy vs. young black guy’ misses the mark by a wide margin.
