Oh, snap! Ryan and Dorkman are back with more nerderiffic lightsaber duel action! The YouTube is ‘meh’, so I really recommend going to Stage 6 and seeing the high res DiVX version.
Let me be clear here, folks: This is a straight up, 7 minute saber throwdown. No cutting away to a annoying 9 year old yelling ‘Wheeeee’, no Jar-Jar, no Ewoks. Just full on, hot saber on saber action for 7 effin’ minutes. These guys spent a LOT of time and money on this, and it shows up in every frame. Okay, so it’s not exactly the Darth Maul/Obi-Wan/Qui Jon sabergasm of Menace, but it’s light years ahead of the rest of the prequels fight sequences. And certainly it’s the best saber duel you’ll ever see that was filmed in a tortilla factory (seriously) Enjoy.

i remember because that moment is burned on my memory as the moment when i knew episode 1 was going to suck.

For all it’s faults, Phantom Menace still has that kick ass duel at the end, and for that I’ll forgive a lot.
