Types of Games

All games are fun. Fun to play and fun to watch. Ever sat behind someone playing a game and thought, “wow I have to play this?” That’s how fun games are. When it comes to games, there are basically three categories, those that are played online, mobile games and those that are played at gaming arcades. These can further be broken down into the different genres of games: war, soccer, makeup, educational, casino gambling games and a whole lot more.

Arcade Games

Arcade games are games that are played at gaming arcades. Before mobile and online games, they were arcade games. They were first introduced in 1978 and were popular till the late 1990’s. These are the games that raised our grandparents and parents. And back in the day, a gaming arcade was one of the most popular places to hang out.  Although the list is endless, a few examples of arcade games include Donkey Kong, NBA Jam, Space Invaders, and Pac-Man.

Mobile Games

Mobile games are games that can be played on a mobile phone regardless of the internet connection. These are games like Temple Run, Candy Crush, Subway Surfers to mention but a few. There are games that can be played on cell phones and there are those that can be played on smartphones. This difference is due to gaming and technological innovation. A few games that are found on cell phones include the likes of Sudoku, Snake Xenzia, Bounce and many more. These are classic games now have modern versions.

Online Games

Online games are games that can only be played when there is an internet connection. For the most part, almost all arcade games can be found online, but not all online games can be found at an arcade. This is due to the advancement in technology and how the times have changed.
