Enjoy a romantic stroll

There are very few cities in the world that lend themselves so heavily to romantic walks as Florence does. Take a gentle stroll along the Arno River where you can take in not only the amazing renaissance architecture that the city is blessed with, but also the picturesque hills in the distance. Be sure to cross through the Ponte Vecchio, the city’s famous bridge that dates back to the 14th century. From here, head south to the nearby Boboli Gardens, a gorgeous retreat in the very centre of Florence. Highlights include a beautiful rose garden, a grotto and the stunning views over the countryside that location affords visitors.

Sample the local cuisine

Florence is very much a food city and is home to some of the most celebrated restaurants in the world. Wine tasting tour of Chianti

Travel out from Florence through the rolling hills and winding roads and you’ll soon find yourself in winemaking country. This isn’t just any winemaking region though; this is Chianti, one of the most famous winemaking regions in the world. Take one of the many wine-tasting tours of the area to sample some of the wines and find out more about the vineyards where they are made. As if sampling these delicious wines all day wasn’t enough, you and your partner will be enjoying them to the stunning backdrop of the Tuscan countryside.
