Ireland is one of those countries that often punches above its weight in the ‘best destinations’ lists and with no sign of that changing anytime soon why not make a trip to the Emerald Isle your next one.

With flights to Dublin International Airport available from almost all over the world and spread across the continents, it’s no wonder the Irish capital has such a thriving tourism industry.

Dublin and Ireland in general is a fantastic place to spend a holiday, with an incredible array of natural wonders to enjoy days out at. Dublin itself has plenty of attractions, such as the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Jail, shopping on Grafton and O’Connell Streets and Dublin Castle.

The Storehouse is great for Guinness fanatics, with a number of different levels taking you through the ages with the famous drink, while for history buffs Kilmainham Jail and Dublin Castle – both important buildings during Ireland’s 1913 revolution – are unmissable attractions.

Ireland, both north and south, is famous for its horse racing too with a large proportion of the United Kingdom’s professional jockeys and trainers hailing from the country, but the Emerald Isle has a thriving scene too.

A day out at the races, having a look at the Horse Racing Odds and enjoying the craic and drink with friends is an excellent way to pass the afternoon and Ireland has plenty of racecourse – and indeed festivals – to whet the betting appetite.

If horse racing seems the perfect ticket when you take that trip to Ireland then why not find the odds on today’s races? It’s a great way to get familiar with the sport’s famous runners and riders ahead of your arrival.

With famous racecourses such as the Curragh, Leopardstown, Punchestown and Galway all holding their own huge festivals each year it would be wise not to miss out.

Revellers come from far and wide to savour the courses’ atmosphere and look at the Horse Racing Odds before hoping its their lucky day and the latter of the festivals, Galway, is a firm favourite with the casual punters.

Galway has a variety of excellent hotels and accommodation to stay at too, with the more upmarket of those including the Jurys Inn and Radisson Blu.

For those wishing to stay in Dublin, the city has a variety of options for accommodation with the same Jurys and Radisson having hotels in the city while a number of smaller proprietors may give off more of that Irish charm you’re looking for.
