How to make your life even better in 2019

How is 2019 shaping up so far? Maybe it’s not as great as you hoped it would be, or perhaps it’s going ok but you know it could be even better. If this sounds familiar, this post is for you. Read on to learn how you can upgrade your life and get more out of each day this year.

Embrace the law of attraction

The law of attraction basically states that we get more of the energy that we’re putting out. Positive energy is attracted to positive energy, and negative energy is attracted to negative energy. That means that if you’re constantly feeling down, always complaining, and continually looking for the worst in people, this is what you’re going to get back from the universe.

This may sound a little ‘airy fairy’ if you’re not someone who believes in these types of laws. However, there’s no doubt that taking the time to think positive and embrace different changes will help you feel better- naturally attracting better things (and people) to your life.

Spend more time with your loved ones

Often, we get so wrapped up in our day-to-day lives that we forget about what’s truly important- our loved ones. When was the last time you went out to coffee just to chat with your best friend? When did you last use the outdoor grill with your family and spend the afternoon eating delicious food and enjoying each other’s company?

This can be particularly important if you’re married or in a long-term relationship. Often, these relationships are the first ones we let slip since they’re some of the strongest. Unfortunately, the more we let them slip, the weaker they get. Take time to simply talk for a few moments each day and reconnect- no matter how stressed out you are.

Focus on yourself

When was the last time you did something news? Maybe you’ve always wanted to try a particular hobby or perhaps you never have the time to read a book, watch a movie, or get your nails done. It’s easy to focus on everyone else, and unfortunately, this can lead to burnout as we realize that we don’t have anything left- after all, you can’t pour from an empty cup.

Maybe this means getting a babysitter for a few hours a week so you can go to the gym, take a book to your favorite cafe, or catch up on the work you usually have to tackle when the kids are asleep. Perhaps it means taking a vacation with your closest friends or getting away from it all with your spouse. Whatever it takes, make sure you prioritize your own health and wellbeing and you’ll substantially improve your life this year.
