Chances are you’ve heard the term ‘side hustle’ by now, and the reality is that there are so many people generating considerable extra incomes from the comfort of their own homes. But both of these options require you to excel to the top of the field and may be out of reach for the average gamer. There’s the option to earn money through gaming on loyalty-based platforms. Making money playing games can be such a fun way to make a little extra money each month while enjoying the wonderful games you enjoy!
2. Blogging
Of course, I had to include it on the list, after all, it’s my favorite way to work from home. You can create a blog about almost anything – lifestyle, sports, gaming, pet care, travel – whatever you’re most interested in. Not only can it be a great way to earn a little extra income, but it’s also a great way to find a nice community of like-minded people who have similar interests to you. I would say from my friends and my experience, it does take around a year before the blog becomes profitable assuming you do everything right, so just keep that in mind before starting.
3. Working Remotely
Do you have any skills you think would work well in a home environment? For example, I enjoyed a small side hustle doing copywriting for a variety of companies for a while. If you don’t feel you have strong computer-based skills, then perhaps you could start with something a little more simple like a general virtual assistant position or even data entry. Pay will vary considerably based on your skillset and the type of work you accept, but it can be an easy way to start generating some money from home.
4. Teaching Your Native Language
Whether you’re a native English speaker or your native tongue is a different language, there’s a chance someone’s wanting to find a teacher to help them move forward in that language. Teaching online can be a good way to generate income because you can have a flexible schedule, allowing you to choose clients that fit around your family commitments such as your children, or even your current job or study routine. It’s also a great way to get to know different people from around the world, all while earning some much-needed cash.
