Heading to Europe? Don’t miss these cities

Europe is massive, and if you’re anything like me, it can be difficult to decide just where to go on your vacation. I constantly find myself scrolling through Instagram and seeing photos of some of the most incredible destinations and constantly switching back and forth between the places I’ll be heading to next. Whether you’re the type to hire a luxury catamaran, or you’re more into roughing it in a hostel, here are some of the best cities to visit:

Budapest

Now I may be slightly biased since I’ve lived in Budapest, but I truly believe it’s a must-visit for anyone planning a trip to Europe. It has all of the things most people travel to Europe for- incredible architecture, great food, and history, along with the grittiness you only find in central and Eastern Europe. You can spend hours walking around this city and taking photos of the architecture. Don’t miss a chance to check out the Hungarian parliament, and head to the ruin pubs for a night out that you won’t forget in a hurry.

Paris

We all know that Paris is a must-visit, and while it may seem slightly cliche, it remains one of the cities you simply have to check out if you’re planning a trip to Europe. The problem that most people have is they try to do too much in too short of a time, and then they just feel overwhelmed and stressed out. Give yourself a break and choose one ‘touristy’ thing to do each day, so you have the rest of the time to wander, people-watch, relax, and soak up the city- you’ll have a much better experience.

Athens

Ok, most people don’t simply stay in Athens when they go to Greece. But if you are planning to visit Greece, do yourself a favour and check out this city as well. Athens has become cool, and tourists are increasingly becoming attracted to its grittiness. Even if you’re planning to get a luxury yacht charter in Greece, spend a night or two in Athens before or after you enjoy the islands- it’s well worth it.

London

London is one of the best cities to visit in summer, since you avoid the oppressive heat found elsewhere in Europe. Not to mention, you can enjoy the rooftop bars, high tea, shopping, and all the other tourist sights. Check out Harry Potter World, try numerous scones, and head to Buckingham Palace for a typical tourist experience.
