Does your life need a serious upgrade? Maybe you know you could improve it, but you’re not sure where to start? This post is for you. Here are some ways you can upgrade your life in 2019:

Find your passion

This doesn’t necessarily mean you need to be working in a job that fulfills your passion. But if you’re not passionate about what you’re doing at work, you should at least be passionate about the things you’re doing in your time off. Maybe you know what you’re passionate about, but you just haven’t had a chance to explore that passion? Or perhaps you’ve got an inkling about some things you’d like to try but you’ve put them on the backburner? Life is too short to wait. Make 2019 the year you find your passion.

Travel more

You’ve probably already heard about all the studies proving that experiences are better for our health and happiness than things, right? But how often do you plan for these experiences? If you’re like most people, you’ve probably been wanting to take a holiday overseas for a while, but it can be difficult to find both the time and money. Commit to taking a trip this year, and make 2019 the year you actually get to travel. With some creative budgeting and saving, you’ll be skiing in Austria, lying by the pool in the Caribbean, or climbing a volcano in Guatemala in no time.

Sort out your finances

Does the idea of opening your credit card statement make your stomach sink? That’s no way to live your life. Being stressed out about your finances can bleed into every part of your life, and it can make it difficult to enjoy your life or think about the future.

It’s also easy to ignore your debt, which can mean it will just snowball- potentially destroying your credit rating.

If you’re in debt, make 2019 the year you tackle that debt. Maybe that means finding a low-interest loan to consolidate your debt or switching to a credit card that has an interest-free period so you can pay off the balance of your debt and not just the interest. There are plenty of options available to you, but you’ll need to take the time to go through your finances and see what you owe and who you owe it too. There are some great budgeting apps on the market which will help you keep track of what you’re spending.
